What type of baseball league is Colorado Springs Fall Baseball?
Colorado Springs Fall Baseball is a youth fall baseball league based in southern Colorado Springs, Colorado. Longest active running fall baseball league in Colorado Springs. Baseball without the High Cost and the Travel. Geared not just toward the more advanced, higher skilled, ballplayer but also for players that want to continue playing better skilled baseball during the fall season. We have players from all levels. We recommend players with baseball experience. All kids ages 6-15 are welcome.

When do registrations for the fall baseball season begin?
On-line and mail-in registrations begin on June 15th and continue until August 1st, 2024. Fill-in registrations continue after that time as needed. There are usually several in-person registration locations in July. These will be announced on the website and in the Gazette sports announcements.

What are the boundaries?
The great thing about Colorado Springs Fall Baseball is that it does not have any boundaries. We welcome every kid that wants to play fall baseball. We provide summer baseball to all of Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. Last year the league had players from Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Monument, Falcon, Peyton, and Fountain.

Can I sign up to play with a friend or group friends?
You can sign up on your own, with a friend, or with a group of friends. Although it is not guaranteed this will be possible in every case. Over the years individual players, partial and full teams from Colorado Springs, Academy, Tri-Lakes, & High Plains Little Leagues have signed up to play in addition to teams from Divide, Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, Widefield, Fountain, and Calhan. It is the league's intent to keep players with their school and neighborhood friends whenever possible.

Rookies:    Ages 6 & 8

What is the cost?
Rookies:    $135
Minors:    $160

Colorado Springs Fall Baseball accepts credit cards only. On-line payment must be completed within 3 days of registration. If payment is not received, your player will be put on a free agent list. Paid participants will be put on a roster before someone that has signed up but has not paid. A $25 late fee will apply to registrations received after August 1st, 2024.

May I get a refund if we decide not to play?
There are NO REFUNDS. Exceptions are season-ending injuries. Refunds in this situation will be pro-rated (plus $40 to cover administration fees, insurance fees). Late fee is non-refundable.

What forms of payment do you have?
Colorado Springs Fall Baseball now accepts all major credit cards through our secure online payment processing. Other forms of payment will be accepted at our walk-up registration locations. Check the website for walk-up registration dates and locations.

What is included with the fee?
Your player will receive a dri-fit jersey and a baseball cap, play on great baseball fields, and WARM Fall Baseball Weather! Each coach/team chooses the rest of the uniform (pant color, socks, etc.).

How are players placed on teams?
Ages 6-15 are generally placed by zip code

Do you have tryouts for all divisions?
Colorado Springs Fall Baseball does not have tryouts.

You will be contacted by your coach by August 11th, 2024.

Each coach decides where and when practices are held, and how many per week.

What equipment do I need to provide for my child?
The league provides:
  • Hat
  • Dri-FIt Shirt
  • Insurance
  • Great Fields
  • Umpires

You must provide:
  • Glove
  • Cleats (metal cleats OK for Juniors and Senior/HS Divisions Only)
  • Pants
  • Belt
  • Undershirt
  • Socks
  • Protective cup is HIGHLY recommended for all players
  • Protective cup is REQUIRED for all catchers

How many games will be played?
Approximately 10 games. All Double Headers on Saturday or Sundays for all Divisions except Rookies and Minors Division (one during the week and one during the weekend). No Tournament.

How long is the season?
Practices may begin immediately after the teams are announced on August 11th, 2024. Games will start around August 19th and continue through October 5th.

What days will games be played?
The game schedule varies and will not be posted until the week before the season starts. Games are scheduled for Saturday or Sunday Double Headers. Rookies and Minors (one during week and one weekend)

What time will games be played?
Games will be scheduled to start as early as 8:00AM/8:30AM/9:00AM on the weekend. Weekday games for Rookies and Minors can start as early at 5:00PM

How long does each game last?
Rookies: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Minors/Majors: 1 hour and 45 minutes
Juniors/Seniors/HS: 2- hours
No new inning will begin after time has expired.

If you have signed up and paid, then you are registered. You will receive a call from your coach around August 11, 2024.

What if the weather looks bad? Who do I call?
We encourage coaches to notify their players as soon as games are cancelled. Coaches or Managers please call our voicemail at 719-648-5171 for the latest updates for weather conditions. The website home page will also be updated. Never assume games are cancelled without checking with your coach, the website, or the voicemail. Weather in Colorado Springs can change quickly!

Rain delays & rainouts... what happens?
Weekday games are allowed a 30-45 minute window for rain delays.
Weekend games: It will be a game-by-game decision by league officials. There is a good chance that an early game could be cancelled but not the later game, and vice-versa.

The league will make every attempt to reschedule rainouts. The makeup game will be rescheduled 6-7 days after the rainout, unless both coaches agree on an earlier date. If coaches don't agree on a makeup date given by the league, it will be a forfeit. Make-up dates: Weekday game at 4:45 or 5:00pm on October 5th and 6th.

How can I support a team?

Team/Advertisement/Support. The cost is only $200 - $350. For $350, team sponsor will receive a plaque, logo or name (block letters) on back of jerseys, plus a website link. For $200, team sponsor will receive name in block letters on back of jerseys. Advertising in the league can be a business right off. All sponsor information must be turned into the league by August 12th, 2024.
